Puppy DO — Social Service

PuppyDO is a concept social app that helps people find companions for hobbies, events, and travels. It also became my playground to test how AI can reshape the design process — from research and branding to UX and promo storytelling.

Research

We looked at people who struggle to find like-minded company for leisure:

  • Relocants adapting to a new city and social circle.
  • Active 26–45 lacking friends for hobbies, culture, or travel.
  • Travelers who need safe, reliable partners.
  • Board-game & quiz fans who require groups to play.
  • Users 50+ experiencing reduced social connections.

Key problems: hard to expand beyond work/family circles, safety concerns when meeting strangers, and the need to support both planned and spontaneous activities.

Competitors: Meetup, We3, Spontacts, Realy, etc. They offer filters and event chats, but miss real-time activity discovery, spontaneous matching, and built-in safety.

Branding & Identity

The visual identity was designed to be friendly, bold, and easy to recognize.

  • Logo: “DO” as a call to action — simple, universal, and playful.
  • Colors: light base (#F5F5F7) with bright accents (#FFF86C, #FF6B81) for energy and visibility.
  • Typography: Halvar for headers, Manrope for body — modern and human.

The branding extends beyond the interface into merchandise and promo materials, making the service recognizable both in digital and real-life touchpoints.

Shaping the Experience

To shape the product experience, I combined structural clarity with iterative design exploration.

  • First, I mapped the information architecture and core user flow, focusing on the key scenario of finding and joining an event.
  • Then, I iterated from AI-generated wireframes to refined human-designed wireframes and finally to a branded mockup, ensuring both usability and visual identity.

Concept Teaser — Made with AI

This video was a playful experiment with AI tools: the characters were generated  with neural networks, then brought them to life through animation and stitched the story together in CapCut. It was all about learning new tools and expanding creative horizons.

Conclusion

PuppyDO became my first full-scale experiment with AI in design — from idea generation and visuals to creating a promo video. The project showed how AI can accelerate and diversify the creative process. At the same time, it helped me practice a systematic design approach: from research and information architecture to branding and promotion, resulting in a cohesive product concept.
